My name is James McMahen. I’ve been taking photographs since I was a child but have gotten very serious about photography in the last several years. While all aspects of photography intrigue me, nothing does so as much as female portraiture. Females have been inspiration to artists for millennia going all the way back to drawings on cave walls and their influence on artists is evident all the way up to the present day of photography. While we use light and its reaction to chemicals and electronics to manifest portraits of women, people have used every imaginable method of presenting the female form in an artistic way since the dawn of man. That is what I do with my photography - present the female form in an artistic way.
